First Recommendation Our results for Ben Johnson’s opinions on the Lions offensive coordinator…
One of the NFL’s most potent attacks this season was led by Johnson.
Being one of just two teams to finish in the top five in total yards, running yards, and passing yards per game, the Lions concluded the regular season among the top five. In nine of their eighteen regular-season games, they scored more than thirty points, and they also tied for seventh in offensive defensive yards per attempt.
The Lions won their first NFC North championship since 1993 thanks in part to these stats.
Having joined the team in 2019, Johnson has served as Detroit’s offensive playcaller for two years.
Before assuming the role of tight ends coach for the next two seasons, closely collaborating with T.J. Hockenson, he started out as an offensive quality control coach.
However, the Lions saw success in 2022 when Johnson assumed command of the offensive.
Four players were selected to the Pro Bowl, and as the playcaller, Detroit recorded its first-ever 4,000 passing and 2,000 rushing yard season in team history.
They were going to finish fourth in terms of overall offense, sixth in terms of points per game, and had more than 30 points in eight of their seventeen matches.
Dan Campbell said, “I think Ben’s a rock star, man.” Although he is young, he has had to travel a somewhat longer and more difficult path to get to where he is. He has now been surrounded by some excellent coaches, individuals who have trained some talented players at quarterback.”
