Wolverines Has Successfully won the race by signing an incredible star worth $57.8 Billion………
Before stepping down this month to assume leadership of our Chargers, Jim Harbaugh led the Michigan Wolverines for eight grueling years in Ann Arbor. When he made his debut as the new head coach, his exuberant demeanor was evident to all. We are fortunate to have access to a resource that can offer a more in-depth look at the character of our new leader. This realization came to me as I considered the kind of piece I wanted to write about a man who, in the eyes of many, represents everything that a head coach should be.
Following consecutive seasons with ten wins, a video crew from Amazon Prime began following Harbaugh, his staff, and the players in 2017 in order to film “All or Nothing: The Michigan Wolverines,” a documentary on the team. For anyone trying to understand Jim, this kind of 340-minute insight into him and the team he shaped is priceless. In order to determine what kind of coach we had on our hands, I made the decision to rewatch the series.
I can recall thinking to myself as I watched this series shortly after it premiered—I knew very little about Jim outside of his sideline persona—that he embodied the essence of football in human form. The man exudes energy in all the ways you would want your commanding officer to, from his frightening war cries to his borderline cheesy catch phrases, but what really makes me believe in him is his love for his players and the team they represent.
Harbaugh will meet the incoming freshmen as they move into their dorms for the first time in a scene from the first episode. After assisting his mother in moving his belongings from the lobby to his room, he spends time chatting with a young James Hudson III, the starting right tackle for the Cleveland Browns. I enjoyed this particular moment because it didn’t appear like he was acting for the cameras, unlike other people who might have. He was eager to be there for them and for himself, to take a trip down memory lane and relive the sensation of starting a new chapter in his life.
Though there are numerous instances of Harbaugh inspiring his squad with passionate speeches, there was one in particular that really stuck out to me. He composed a poem, which he recited in front of the team.
Although this poem reveals more about Jim Harbaugh’s personal life than any other football poetry, it may be the most Catholic one ever written. He genuinely feels thankful for the “struggles” since they are an essential component of his path to becoming a fantastic football player. It may alienate some of his players, but all of them will be able to comprehend the concept of suffering for a larger good, as he performed this poem just weeks after taking the entire team to meet the Pope in Vatican City. For him, football is faith.
Though Jim comes across as both humorous and hard-nosed, he is not merely a rough character. Despite his obvious pride in being the embodiment of the Michigan brand, he smiled when asked to judge a faculty member’s diving competition during the bye week. He had no idea that he would be talked into doing a plunge by someone else. With astonished spectators cheering him on, Harbaugh sprang off the 3 m platform wearing only his clothes, not even blinking.
