Worrall’s transfer from Forest to Besiktas has been finalized. Permission was granted for the defender to travel to Istanbul over the weekend in order to watch Besiktas defeat Trabzonspor.
The Reds, who face relegation to the Championship at the end of the current campaign, have decided to loan the 27-year-old center-back for the remainder of the season. Forest, who acquired Giovanni Reyna during the January transfer window, had intended to sell the defender.
On the last day of the January transfer window, HITC has been informed that Leeds United attempted to complete a deal for Worrall.
A bid for the defender was made by Leeds, who want to move up to the Premier League automatically.
On transfer deadline day in January, Sheffield United also attempted, but was unable, to sign the former Rangers loanee.
After searching England for a defender, Besiktas spoke with Jamaal Lascelles of Newcastle United. Worrall, nevertheless, became the Turkish club’s top objective for a defender, and they have now completed a deal.
Before making a name for himself in the starting lineup, Worrall went through the Forest youth system. He has been a member of the club since 2011.
Worrall played for the Liverpool Reds in both the Championship and the Premier League, earning praise from former Rangers manager and Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard as “a fantastic player.”
The defensive tackle has thus far in his career made 37 appearances in the Premier League. In those contests, he’s maintained six clean sheets while scoring one goal.
Though he like to give new players time to adjust, the German expects that his one midseason addition will do so more quickly because of his expertise, especially with parent clubs Burnley and Swansea City.

Apart from Illan Meslier’s vital one-on-one stop, it was a 1-0 victory that was quite easy. Gnonto’s left-footed goal found the back of the net gave Leeds a well-deserved victory.
Prior to Preston’s victory over Ipswich on Saturday, Leeds was ranked second in the Championship table. Southampton is currently in second place. However, Leeds should have been awarded a penalty after a move involving Cree Summerville and Georginio Rutter saw the ball fall into Patrick Bamford’s path. Bamford’s flick into Rutter appeared to give the Frenchman a goal.
Replays indicate that Rutter did not get the ball when he was taken out by George Tanner, who was around eight yards out. Play continued despite calls for a penalty by referee Stephen Martin. Says Gallagher that he made a mistake.
