Love is a Beautiful Thing. She Said “YES!” Amari Cooper And His Fiancee Have Agreed to Tie the Knot Together….

With important decisions looming, the future of standout running back Nick Chubb remains uncertain as the Cleveland Browns enter a critical offseason.

The hard facts of NFL economics cast a shadow over Chubb’s undeniable worth to the team, both on and off the field, so recent history does not provide much consolation. Lately, running backs have not had it easy on the market. In addition, Chubb faces a number of challenges.

In Week 2 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chubb sustained a devastating knee injury. In two different surgeries, the most recent of which took place in November, he had both his ACL and MCL repaired.

During his season-ending press conference, Browns general manager Andrew Berry referred to Chubb’s contract as the “elephant in the room.” For the upcoming season, Chubb will have $15.8 million counted against the cap. But there’s no money left on his deal that he can count on. The dead cap would only be $4 million if Chubb was released by the Browns.

In order to minimize the cap charge for the upcoming season, the Browns have the option of extending Chubb. With the hope that Chubb appears to be the unstoppable force he was prior to the injury, that would follow.

Despite Chubb’s exceptional qualities, ESPN’s Dan Graziano believes the four-time Pro Bowler could still be an unfortunate catastrophe.

On Tuesday, February 13, Graziano wrote, “He’s 28 years old, coming off a major season-ending knee injury and scheduled to earn $12 million in non-guaranteed money in the final year of his contract.” He could be the victim of a cap blowout, but he’s also a possibility for an extension. Chubb may be the most recent indicator of the unsatisfactory running back market, in either case.

The Cleveland Browns would love to re-sign Chubb to a new, improved contract. In the training facility, he is seen as a leader and a no-nonsense superstar. In addition, since joining Cleveland as a second-round selection surrounding the previous year he has been an aggressive player.
