Love is a Beautiful Thing. She Said “YES!” Brock Purdy And His Fiancee Have Agreed to Tie the Knot Together….
Following Steve Wilks’ unexpected departure on Wednesday, head coach of the San Francisco 49ers Kyle Shanahan said he was considering three internal candidates for defensive coordinator.
Kris Kocurek, Johnny Holland, and Daniel Bullocks, the defensive backs coach and linebackers coach for the 49ers, are those coaches. In the wake of Wilk’s dismissal three days after the Cowboys lost the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs, Shanahan discussed their coaching credentials on Wednesday but made no promises.
“I’ll be speaking with everyone of these people. I haven’t actually spoken. I haven’t had a chance to meet with all of these individuals; I just finished this with Steve about an hour ago. On a conference call on Wednesday, Shanahan informed reporters that “all of them will have a chance.” “I won’t name specific people at this early stage.”
Throughout The current year — a period that included two Super Bowl trips and four NFC Championship Game appearances — Kocurek has been a crucial member of the 49ers defense. In terms of yards and points allowed per game, he assisted the 49ers in setting league records in twenty-two and twenty-three, respectively.
Although Shanahan acknowledged Kris’ major, she stated, “I think it’s always a possibility for him.” I am aware of his passion. D-Line is his great passion. He rarely ventures outside it. Nevertheless, Kris is an extremely talented coach who possesses immense potential.
While mentioning Holland and Kocurek, Shanahan added, “I’ve been around those guys a while,” without going into further detail. Since 2017, Holland has coached 49ers linebackers, helping players like Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw become significant contributors.
Although Shanahan doesn’t want significant changes either, he didn’t rule out the possibility of an outsider taking Wilks’ place.
“Given the circumstances, I’m determined to look for what we think will provide the Niners the best opportunity in 2024. And I think that’s the best thing to do for a group of guys that have been playing at a high level and doing things a certain way for a while,” Shanahan remarked.
“However, I would never hesitate to do so if I came across anything that I could be convinced of and should really believe in as a superior path. Thus, in no sense am I narrow-minded. I’ll investigate all of the options,” Shanahan said. “However, I’m not merely attempting to alter things when you have some excellent players who have performed at a high level and done it a certain way.”
