According to Ricciardo, Red Bull has demonstrated its desire to “crush the competitors due to…
Red Bull chose a radical concept change over an evolutionary stride with last year’s RB19, which had eye-opening sidepod solution and Mercedes-style gulleys on its engine lid.
In this week’s Bahraini test, the new vehicle performed admirably, and it is widely believed that this will give the Milton Keynes-based team an early advantage over the opposition.
Red Bull family member and RB driver Ricciardo claims that the team’s killing mentality is evident in their resolve to improve upon the already dominant RB19 this winter.
When asked if he was taken aback by what the team had accomplished with the RB20 this winter by Motorsport.com, Riccardo responded, “I laugh because I’m surprised, but I’m additionally.”
It seems to me that this team performs best when they are winning. When they’re winning, it seems as though they want to demolish the opposition handily.
It’s not as simple as “Okay, we’re winning now. Let us take a vacation. It’s as if to say, “Let’s really dig in.” Thus, I believe they have emerged in that area this year. Following their most successful season in ’23, they now unveil an automobile that, I believe, even made me gasp.
After competing with Red Bull from this year to the present and maybe making a comeback in the coming year Ricciardo says he just admires the team’s technical leadership, particularly Adrian Newey, the chief technical officer.
“It’s really saying something that they’ve had the most updates out of everyone,” he remarked.
“Hey, I really enjoy seeing Adrian close to the car.” Adrian is undoubtedly a major contributor, but I don’t even feel bad about highlighting him specifically because I know there is more to it than just Adrian. And it’s really cool to witness.
I simply love to see that kind of unwavering approach and response to such a great year, whether or not I’m a fan. It’s as if you have to kind of admire it. I am aware that some fans are undoubtedly thinking, “Nope, I want someone to challenge Red Bull this year,” while they watch from the comfort of their couches. Nonetheless, you must respect
Certain people have already expressed their belief that Red Bull might accomplish this year what they failed to in 2023—winning every race—due to the RB20’s outstanding performance in testing. Ricciardo, however, is not entirely certain that it is possible.
He stated, “It looks almost impossible.” “The reason for this is the sheer number of races and the possibility of a wet race.”
Even though they entered the season with a new vehicle, I’m sure it will still be a race-winning vehicle, but it’s too soon to say for sure if it will be as strong as it was the previous year.
They’ll triumph in competitions. They most definitely will. However, I wouldn’t go as far.
