Jaala Torrence the defendant, 2-0 satisfied Alea in the circle after a walk and a ground out in the top of the fourth inning. To my mind, the dinger might have shook Alea a little. With an unbelievable speed, Torrence would end the game by striking out nine of the next eleven hitters she faced, including the side in the fifth and sixth innings, and preventing any further batters from reaching base of operations.
Emma Broadfoot, who moved here from North Alabama a year ago, was celebrating her senior day. Though that seems a bit early in the season, anyway… Starting at first base, Broadfoot went 0 for 3 with a strikeout. Esman moved to an already packed outfield, while Duchscherer took over as the Department of Health.
