Earlier this weekend, the Tennessee Volunteers lost another player on their roster to the NFL Draft. Jeremiah Crawford, an offensive lineman who started 13 of the 29 games he played for the Vols, filed for the draft. Although losing Crawford is a setback to their depth, Tennessee still has a good room on paper going into next season.
“I want to start by thanking God and praising my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. All of this is not possible without Him. Just wanted to say thank you, Vol Nation, for all of the love and support I’ve had while playing here. I express my gratitude to my friends, mentors, and Goddard, Butler, and Tennessee colleagues who have supported me along my journey. At Butler Community College, I played college football for a while, and I wouldn’t believe it if you told me I would be writing this now.
I’m grateful to my junior coaches for pushing me to become the guy I am today as well as a better player. I’m grateful to Coach Haremza for always being there for me and for teaching me what this is all about. You will always be considered a legend. I thank all of my coaches at Tennessee for believing in me and supporting me as I strive to play collegiate football at the greatest level. Where would I be without all of you? I’ve had brothers become teammates in college football.
I will always cherish every memory we had together, and we will always be friends. In particular, I would like to thank my mother. I now know the importance of perseverance and how to take on obstacles head-on thanks to you. You have given up a lot so that I can enjoy the advantages that I have. I’ll be grateful forever. I want to thank my family for all of their prayers, love, and support during this journey. Vol’s supporters are the most amazing and passionate people.
You guys don’t realize how much I appreciate you, but I am constantly in awe of the love and support you have given me since I moved to campus. After said all of that, I am happy to declare that I have declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. Jeremiah Crawford
