Buffalo Bills in trouble as fans favorite player is on bills transfer list

The most recent addition to the Buffalo Bills’ coaching staff is Matt Edwards, who recently moved to One Bills Drive. Edwards, who was announced on Thursday afternoon, will work with defensive line coach Marcus West, who was recently elevated by the team, in his new role as assistant defensive line coach for the Bills.

Edwards started his career as an NFL coach with the Tennessee Titans prior to moving to Vegas. Edwards served as the Titans’ defensive assistant and assistant special teams coach during his four seasons there.

With 15 years of NCAA experience under his belt, Matt Edwards began his coaching career in college football. In 2003, Edwards got his big break as the College of Wooster’s linebackers coach. Edwards left after four seasons to take a position as defensive line coach at Kent State (2006–2010). Edwards then joined Miami of Ohio as the special teams coordinator, linebackers coach, and defensive ends coach for the football team (2011–2012). 2013 saw Edwards move on to Florida Atlantic University, where he took on the roles of defensive line coach and special teams coordinator. Matt Edwards served as defensive coordinator for Tiffin University’s football team from 2014 to 2017, which was his most recent position as a collegiate football coach.

With 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns, Diggs is perhaps one of the top five wide receivers in the NFL. This year, he was selected to the Pro Bowl for the fourth time in his career.

Though he emphasized to Adams that Josh Allen is still like family to him, there have been whispers that he has been unhappy with his place on the club and that he may have a falling out with the quarterback.

In the event that Diggs is traded, Buffalo would face a $31 million dead cap charge. Diggs’ deal has a cap cost that would increase significantly for the 2024 season.

Given that the Bills appear to have a championship-caliber squad, at least on paper, Diggs’ lack of dissatisfaction with Allen or the organization makes it absurd to even consider trading him.
