Stephen Curry Boldly Declares I’m the best quarterback in the Draft’ Explaining why he ”Knows” he is the best..
In a game they dominated for the first three quarters, the Golden State Warriors lost 130-125 to the LA Clippers on Wednesday, suffering yet another painful late-game collapse. The Dubs ended their winning streak in the fourth quarter after failing to hold onto an 11-point lead despite a very impressive defensive performance early in the game.
Their recent implosion is either more tolerable or more excruciating because of how much better they’re playing. You dial. I’m here to offer you some grades, not to instruct you on how to be a fan. As usual, the grades are determined by my standards for every player, with a “B” rating denoting the player’s average performance.
Though it wasn’t always the most beautiful, there was a lot to appreciate in Draymond’s performance. He was very active offensively, and even though he missed a few bunnies, which resulted in a low efficiency night, you could see how it opened up the offense because of how frequently he moved downhill. He tied Ivica Zubac for the game-high rebounding total, demonstrating his dominance on the glass as well.
In the past few games, Green has shown a little more fire after appearing so collected and calm following his suspension. Though we hope it doesn’t go any further in that direction, it feels like a good spot right now, so it’s worth monitoring.
The Warriors ultimately gave up 78 points in the second half after only 52 in the first, as Green’s excellent effort early on ran out of steam to keep them in the game going.
You might argue in which Kuminga is playing a more well-rounded, all-around game even though his scoring hasn’t been as high as it was a few weeks ago. In this game, he was a threat on the boards and truly demonstrated the strength of his playmaking. He lost to Paul George in a number of possessions, but Paul George has a tendency to do something similar to people around the world.
In this game, Wiggins was difficult to notice. He didn’t have many big plays and was a relatively quiet offensive player. However, I believed that in the first half, he played very excellent defense against James Harden. Not as much in the second half, but James Harden has that effect on people, as JK and PG13 previously demonstrated.
